Justice For Sylvester : Some Things Some Boarders Would Rather Not Say

Image
When the news of the painful exist of Sylvester Oromoni , a 12 year old boarding secondary school pupil of Dowen College, beaten mercilessly and poisoned by some seniors which eventually led to his demises, hit the internet and spread like wild fire, it made us all aware that the case of bullying is a serious and collective matter that needed to be stopped. Sylvester in pains before he passed on I am sure some parents t h at has children in boarding schools were shocked. However busy they were, I am glad the news got to them and it is still getting to them. Finally it has become obvious to them what their children are not oblivious about. Cute Sylvester set to soar high but bullies killed him At this point in time, I encourage the parents and fellow students of Dowen college to speak up, call out names, do whatever you can to help get justice for Sylvester. For some people, it is important for us to understand that there are some things some people especially boarders won’t say or tell

*Hello everyone, my name is Ubulaba and I am just a Sunday Christian who tours round churches every Sunday and hope to settle down soon. Nothing to be proud of, someday, I hope to change.* **** Happy new month everyone. Happy first Sunday of the month , as it is in most churches, first Sundays are always for thanksgiving. ********** Still on the matter on Island church matter, Chioma and I attended another one the Island.  The car park as usual were filled with extravagant cars, if cars could tell wealth statuses, those cars did not just tell but yelled the wealth statuses of their owners.  They did not let the Uber car take us into the car park. The cab driver stopped right in front of the carpark . The gate did not open for us.  I later learnt that the carpark gate were opened for only their members after it automatically scan their plates numbers and thumbs of the owners . Chai!!!God punish poverty. I refuse to be a poor Christian.  We came down from the Uber and walked vertically

Hello everyone, my name is Ubulaba and I am just a Sunday Christian who tours round churches every Sunday and hope to settle down soon. Nothing to be proud of, someday, I hope to change.  Dear Dairy,  In a busy city like Lagos with the hustling and bustling of many activities, one barely have time to really think about somethings.  I took another look at Mr. Emeka’s Invitation on my email and thought about it again. The reality God’s goodness hit me like a ton of rocks. I was in awe of how God puts one on delay and when hope seems lost, he shows up in triples.  Mr. Emeka, one of my bosses in the office and his wife have been married for twenty years with no issues. He was a good looking man, well to do and women were always around him. He could have had any woman of his choice but he never did.  When God showed up, he showed up with three beautiful and adorable children.    What better place would I rather wander on a Sunday than his church with a special invitation. It was also anoth

Hello everyone, my name is Ubulaba and I am just a Sunday Christian who tours round churches every Sunday and hope to settle down soon. Nothing to be proud of, someday, I hope to change.  ******* Dear Dairy, It's another beautiful Sunday and I woke up with a lot of beautiful ideas of clothes to wear.  I laid them all out!  First outfit:  I didn't have the right shoes to wear with it, Second outfit:  the top looked somehow on my body Third outfit: Hmm...it didn't reflect my personality. Finally, I brought down my entire wardrobe.  I began another search for a church outfit.  By the time I finished ,bathed  and  dressed up, I looked like a model - just the way I desired but I was extra late. I decided to visit one of the churches I used to frequently visit. I was a worker there for two weeks before I resumed wandering.   I was so ashamed entering the church . The shame was more overwhelming than the pride in took in my outfit.  After service today, while other people  were b

Hello everyone, my name is Ubulaba and I am just a Sunday Christian who tours round churches every Sunday and hope to settle down soon. Nothing to be proud of, someday, I hope to change. ********** Dear Dairy,  A retrospection   to last week church incidence invoked a feeling of uncertainty.   Pastor B and his cohort have been following up on me all through the week till  yesterday before deliberately blocking all their numbers. I did not wanted to be a worker in Sanitation department. I  could not just imagine myself dressing up, all sweet this morning and be cleaning toilets or getting rid of  waste, it is not possible. God knows the people he has given the grace for such department. Maybe, someday, I may join them but definitely not this Easter.    It is another Easter Sunday and what better Sunday to wear my new Ankara gown , though pretty really tight with puffy hands,  Adeola my Tailor just made for me. I had waited for the gown for close to 4 months. I really anticipate wear
