The faces behind the phones

   THE FACES BEHIND THE PHONES

Everyone seems to be online nowadays, doing one thing or the other but one common thing most people are doing is chatting. Thanks to our various social networks like 2go,facebook,whatsapp,skype,twitter,Instagram e.t.c.

Have you ever asked yourself  "who are the faces behind our phones?" I mean the real faces ,the real identities and the real personalities of the people we chat with even those we have known for years.
It is amazing how people  using these social networks use it as a medicine for boredom.Ask yourself "are social networks solutions for boredom?" sex and the church;bitter truths the church won't tell us

Boredom to me is the absence of something productively interesting to do.Of course something productively interesting does not  come out from chatting and whiling away your time with jobless people like you.Face reality dear,go out there, get a book,go visit a friend  or develop your talent the next time you are bored.

After my many researches,I observed that our various social networks have turned most people into extroverts online and introverts in reality. You meet some people that can strike interesting conversations with you and maintain it for hours.People like these will always make you subscribe and never make you leave your phones .But guess what? You meet these people in reality and their conversation never goes beyond hello and good day. Isn't that annoying? Church and the sex; brother A vs B
These "extroverts"  kill their real lives but day in day out they build they build up their social lives through social networks. They can chat with strangers for hours but are forever silent even with family members. These people battle with low self esteem and if care is not taken, they will die as loners in reality.

I also observe of that another set of faces are the jobless people.Forever online, checking if they have  messages or notification as if they run a delivery service. It is best to flee from such people. They have decided not to move forward in life and so they are looking for  people  to tag along.

Get my point,of course they are nice faces behind the phone but these set  of people listed above,it is  best to avoid them. But do you know that the more time you spend online, the more likely you are going to belong to one of the groups, if not all? From the age of fourteen,an average teen spends atleast 8 hours chatting online. At age 24,he would have spent atleast 29,120 hours of his life chatting with no values added to his life, no real friends added to his life and no money too added to his life. All they get in exchange of the 29,120 hours of their chatting is addiction. They have only invested in their addictions.

If you can't go offline for a year, can't do without chatting for a month, can't start  a good conversation in reality but you can chat hours on whatsapp ,if you have over a thousand friend on Facebook but don't have at least five good friends you can lean on reality, you're simply either the forever bored faces behind the phones, the extroverts only online or the forever bored jobless faces behind the phone.

Wake up,shake off that addiction off your body and don't just be that face behind the phones.I bet Linda Ikeji,Timothy Ozovehe and Chima Azubuike spend hours online with their mobile phones but what differentiates them from the "just" faces behind the phones is that that they are productive and add values to the other faces.
