No man is a super hero

NO MAN IS A SUPER HERO! No not one, no not one.  The super heroes you saw on your TV screens as kids, with well ripped muscles, beards and all macho and with ability to multi-task and amazing talents still linger in your brain right? I mean name them; Batman, Superman, power puff girls, etc.  Which was your best hero?  We grew up and one of the first  attributes or qualities we put in our CV, is the Ability to multitask. Bravo! We've learnt well (including me).  As we go through life, we see people doing some stuff, going through extraordinary experience(s), we stay afar off admiring. We call them 'Mentors', strong personality of the century and as result we don't think about offering help or little assistance.    You don't need  to ask, just offer help. Offer it! How many of you have seen/heard (of ) or witness strong people die?   Their death usually gets everyone unawares. Little did we know that somehow if someone had offered them help or continually assisted th

LESSONS I AM TAKING INTO THE NEW YEAR OF MY LIFE Hello dear,  I clocked a year older last week. Yay!, Happy belated birthday to me! I'm sure some friends of mine reading this would be wondering 'Don't your birthday ever finish!' .  Lo siento.(it means sorry in Spanish), I love birthdays.  It's been a beautiful year for  me, this babe writing this has been tried against all odds and guess what?, she overcame.  Ha! There were things I thought I could never do, I ran away from them , only to get caught up in them like Jonah. God has been faithful. I bless God for growth and I know this year will be a year of another bigger growth and better things by his grace. Amen!  Like I said, many things happened in the last one year of my life that if I don't take lessons from , it means I haven't really learnt. So let me share with you (Whatever you do while reading this, do not laugh at me, I'm being serious).Well...you can smile or just shake your heads. One day, I

IN A SECOND

IN A SECOND                                                                         IN A SECOND In a second, I begged in desperation to relive my life again Heavenly father, I pleaded Sleep attempted to wrap me in it warm embrace unto death   I struggled, The death of a woman, who slept cold and woke up hot, Still, I pleaded. The doors were all locked, windows like prisoner cells constructed Doors soundproof, still I screamed. I ran there, there and there and there, not for my possessions or what mattered, have you read this very interesting post? My life was all that matter, I pleaded. I saw it hot, in all beautiful colors as it drew nearer… Redder, bluer, yellower, hotter… Had I know, I wouldn’t have said that death was better than not having all my neighbors goods In a second, I begged in desperation to relieve my life again, we are fully aware of Corona Virus, you can learn a thing or more from here Alas! It was late No mercy, no delay, no time wast

It was a sweet night I must confess.

CORONAVIRUS: WATCH, PRAY AND WASH Oh beautiful busy country, Nigeria, The country whose citizens hastily go about their affairs ‘No time to waste time’ they always say, one to another A country whose roads are blocked daily with traffics hourly,    Popularly known for breeding tough men who can adapt in any part of the world and in any situation, Till Coronavirus came through a man, Suddenly!!! Did you miss my last blog post, kindly read and learn ****** Hello dear, Ha, my heart is heavy! According to The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as at 9 pm yesterday, we had 20 new cases confirmed, we had 131 total confirmed cases and 2 deaths so far in the country. What happened to the God of my University?

Image
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOD OF MY UNIVERSITY?                                                   This is a sincere fierce question in my heart. Like seriously, What happened to the God of my university? I can clearly remember what happened towards the end of my first year in school. I remember clearly telling the president of my fellowship in school bluntly that I was not ready for the work that he (they were) was going to give me.  'See, I am not ready' I said with my sharp mouth. 'No problem, if you don't want to.' He replied. Sex and the church; you certainly enjoy reading this My president was a calm man, but even in the calmness he had a way of making sure things were done. So he said that I should go and pray about it, If God said that I shouldn't do it then no problem, but I must ensure I give him a reply the following day. Well, I never went back because that very night I had an encounter. 'If you truly sp

Habit formation - what life experience gave you a lasting habit?

Image
What life experience gave you a lasting habit? Oyinbo man talk say it takes an average of 66 days to learn a new habit and 21 days to break an old habit. They even went further to give us steps to guide us in habit formation. According to Ruth Penner in her article titled habit formation on https://www.ihomefitness.com, she explained 6 guidelines for habit formation. They include; 1. Write down your goal, and use the SMART principle. 2. Post that written goal somewhere that will act as a constant reminder 3. Recognize the underlying factors. 4. Aim to change only one habit at a time. 5. Take baby steps, don't try and do it all at once. 6. Repeat, repeat and repeat. However, it is worth arguing that the above isn't true especially in a country like Nigeria. Abeg! For 9ja, we beg to differ. These aren't true. Wanna argue? Chill first, let me give you some instances. Sometimes, it takes one word, one knock on the head, one hot slap here, one experience in

The faces behind the phones

Image
THE FACES BEHIND THE PHONES Everyone seems to be online nowadays, doing one thing or the other but one common thing most people are doing is chatting. Thanks to our various social networks like 2go,facebook,whatsapp,skype,twitter,Instagram e.t.c. Have you ever asked yourself  "who are the faces behind our phones?" I mean the real faces ,the real identities and the real personalities of the people we chat with even those we have known for years. It is amazing how people  using these social networks use it as a medicine for boredom.Ask yourself "are social networks solutions for boredom?"  sex and the church;bitter truths the church won't tell us Boredom to me is the absence of something productively interesting to do.Of course something productively interesting does not  come out from chatting and whiling away your time with jobless people like you.Face reality dear,go out there, get a book,go visit a friend  or develop your talent the next time you are

Ina sonki                                (Episode 5) The power in the helm is the power of your faith . The journey from Port Harcourt International airport to 7/9 Old Aba Rd, Rumuomasi 500102, Port Harcourt, where  First Rivers Hospital Limited was located was tiring. All roads connecting the airport to other parts of the town were jammed packed with cars and motorcycles. The journey of two hours took four hours and those four hours were like four months for him. He kept telling his mom he's anticipating seeing Rachel's smiles. "Her smile is so so so beautiful mama," He said. His mother smiled. "Her smile is like yours mama...very hopeful and live. It comes from the bowel of her heart mama". His mother smiled again. She silently longed to see the girl her son spoke so much about. Abubakar went on and on about his friend Racheal. He was so glad his mother followed him. They chatted, laughed and talked about many

Sex and The Church: Let's break the silence

Image
An important announcement you should all pay attention to! SEX and the CHURCH Why does the church not tell us many things as regards sex? Why does it pretend that the teenagers and youths of this generation are not more sexually active than the old generation? Why does it use cloak to cover itself over something that is very obvious? Are singles Christians now without sexual organs? 1st Corinthians 8: 11 says Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does sexual immorality is a sin against your  own b ody . Aren't our bodies a concern to You! Won't you teach us to flee? I am a born again Christian youth in your church that fell in love with a guy in the same church. It all started when from close fellowship together. He could quote long verses of the Bible without shaking. Oh, mine! This alone swept me off my feet. He asked out and I gladly accepted. We started to date. In dating, we started to kiss in our various hangouts.
