No man is a super hero

NO MAN IS A SUPER HERO!

No not one, no not one.

The super heroes you saw on your TV screens as kids, with well ripped muscles, beards and all macho and with ability to multi-task and amazing talents still linger in your brain right? I mean name them; Batman, Superman, power puff girls, etc.
Which was your best hero?

We grew up and one of the first  attributes or qualities we put in our CV, is the Ability to multitask. Bravo! We've learnt well (including me).

As we go through life, we see people doing some stuff, going through extraordinary experience(s), we stay afar off admiring. We call them 'Mentors', strong personality of the century and as result we don't think about offering help or little assistance.

You don't need  to ask, just offer help. Offer it!

How many of you have seen/heard (of ) or witness strong people die?

Their death usually gets everyone unawares.
Little did we know that somehow if someone had offered them help or continually assisted them they would have lived longer.

I remember a story a friend of mine told me, of how she lost her father. Her father was the Super hero in her eyes and everyone who came in contact with him.

He would go to work and work tirelessly, no time to slow down, then immediately he closes, he would drive down to pick my friend and her brother from school. He was a divorcee.

He would then go fetch water, bathe his children and make food for them after which he would help them with their assignments before retiring to his room to round up his office work then sleep. He was the all rounder papa.

Then one day after a really stressful day at the office, he did the same routine, and as he was making lunch, he slumped, and the rest they say is history.

So let me remind you of another story of someone you know very well, our all rounder Uncle, father in the faith, the meekest man on Earth , Elder, papa in Faith, (Father Moses), the mighty man whom God used to lead the people out of Israel. Exodus 18 vs 17- 23

Moses’ father-in-law replied,  “What you are doing is not good. 18 You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone. 19Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him. 20 Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave. 21 But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. 22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you. 23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied.”

from the above scripture, note the following:

1. you and those people who come to you will only wear yourselves out.
2. The work is too heavy for you: you cannot handle it yourself.
3. If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain (tension, tightness, demands, stress, hassles, burdens, extertions, pressures, sicknesses, etc)

The truth about the notes above is, it's still applicable to many people today.

Some people are ignorant of the fact that they are overwhelmed with many burdens and some are but they don't even know how to ask for help or they are scared of asking for help. Not many people know that their bodies can not bear the strain of their super hero abilities in a long time.

So I beg you by the mercies that the Lord has shown you, that when you see someone going through a tough time(a multi tasking super hero and our parents inclusive) please offer to help, not by " Can I help you " but by "let me help you with this please".
Help a stranger on the road, help a friend, help a neighbor, help someone today.

Remember, no one is a super hero.
No not one, no not one.
Not even you!.
