THE PAINS OF BEING OVERESTIMATED OR UNDERESTIMATED, WHICH IS WORST?
Overestimation is the 6ft elegant and energetic
girl walking on the road with no interest in modelling or sports but feeling
bad about herself because the world feels she is wasting her height.
Underestimation
is the twin sister of overestimation. Unlike Overestimation, she is small, soft
spoken, looks fragile and the world does not believe that she has anything to
offer.
Which is
worse?
Which have
you experienced?
To be overestimated is really beautiful. Well…maybe
on the surface. Those who package themselves well, have good charisma and can call on a good
fight tend to be overestimated a lot.
Mr John used
to be very efficient and a good spoke person as a junior Clerk until the boss
promoted him to the Head of Customer Relations Department. Realities dawned on
him that the tasks were beyond the big suits and the ability to talk. He
struggled for months to meet up with the demanding expectations of his boss and
pass over the overestimations of his boss and his other associates.
Guess what
happened at the end???
Seeth a man diligent in his ways, he shall stand before kings and not
mean men.
Mr John was
promoted to a managerial position in less than eight months.
Overestimation
can;
Weigh you
down because of it many responsibilities,
PUSH YOU TO
BE A BETTER YOU,
Tweak you off
if you have no interest in what you are been hyped about,
Etc.
But you see that
twin sister of Overestimation, OH MINE!!! Rumours have it that some love her
and some detest her.
Nothing
dampens a child spirit than a teacher comment like this ‘Commo sit down
dullard! you know nothing’ and the whole class bursting into laughter.
That is a big
‘UNDERESTIMATION’.
Do you know
what scripture says about this?
DO NOT LET ANYONE THINK LESS OF YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE YOUNG, BUT BE AN
EXAMPLE TO ALL BELIEVERS IN THE WAY YOU TALK…
The child
spirit dampens though not dead, pushes her to gladly stand up in the next class to
answer a question. Her answer causes amazement instead of amusement.
Underestimation
can;
Lead to
depression,
Lead to
suicide,
Lead to anger,
Better
oneself,
Be a PRO,
Trample one’s
enemy,
Etc.
Hmm…Underestimation
or Overestimation!!!
Which is
worst?
How can it be
dealt with?
Please share your experience
